| Precautions | Progestational drugs may cause some degree of fluid retention hence conditions that might be influenced by this condition e.g. epilepsy, migraine, asthma, and cardiac or renal dysfunction, require careful observation; history of mental depression; diabetes mellitus. |
| Contra-Indications | Thrombo-embolic disorders; undiagnosed vaginal bleeding. |
| Side Effects | Hypersensitivity reactions; changes in libido; acne; GI disturbances; weight gain; breakthrough bleeding; breast changes; mental depression; and fluid retention. |
| Dosage | Dose: Dysmenorrhoea: 10mg BD from day 5 to day 25 of the cycle. Endometriosis: 10mg OD or BD or TID from day 5 to 25 of cycle or continuously. Premenstrual syndrome: 10mg BD from day 12 to day 26 of the cycle. |
